MEMBERS NEWS

The Zero Carbon Humber partnership, which is spearheaded by Institute Member Drax Group and other leading energy companies and organisations, released a report putting forward a roadmap on how to make the region of Humber the word's first net-zero industrial cluster by 2040. This would include the deployment of CCS and the production of low-carbon hydrogen.

The Scottish Government, a Member of the Institute, signed an agreement on carbon capture and storage with an industry-led coalition, known as NECCUS.  The agreement was signed by Scotland's Energy Minister Paul Wheelhouse MSP and it will be instrumental in driving forward the deployment of CCS in Scotland.  The first phase of this project aims to see the Acorn CCUS facility operational in 2024.
