Chevron Australia and the Gorgon Joint Venture participants recently announced the safe startup and operation of carbon dioxide injection at the Gorgon natural gas facility in Western Australia. When fully operational, the world's 19th large-scale CCS facility will have a CO2 capture capacity of 3.4-4 Mtpa

CALL FOR BSP NOMINATIONS 2019 

The Institute has called for nominations from Members for vacancies on the Board Selection Panel (‘BSP’). The role of the BSP is to nominate candidates for appointment as Directors to serve on the governing Board of the Global CCS Institute, meeting at the request of the Board when a vacancy has been determined. 


The closing date for nominations is 20 September 2019 (11.59pm Australian Eastern Standard Time). If required, Elections for the BSP will be held in accordance with the Election Rules, with results announced on the Members’ Portal on 29 November 2019. Legal representatives will receive a notification with the details, and more information will be available to the Institute Members via the Members’ Portal.
