Webinar: CCS in the Middle East

Join the Institute as we host a webinar to discuss the current state of carbon capture and storage in the Middle East. As the Middle East region continues to be a leader in the energy sector, CCS will play a role in its low carbon transition.  


Weighing in will be industry and policy experts - including the UAE's Ministry of Environment and Climate Change - to share their thoughts on where the region is headed in terms of CCS deployment.

With energy demand on the rise, CCS ambition is growing in South-East Asia.  The Global CCS Institute is hosting a members only briefing on Thursday, January 20 to discuss CCS in the region. Join us to hear what our experts have to say about the current state of CCS policy in South-East Asia and the value of CCS.


CCS Progress in 2021 - A Brief Look Back

CCS has gained notable momentum over the last year, particularly with new regions entering the market and new funding pots unveiled to support  CCS projects.

  Institute Appoints Head of MENA Region

With a new regional office now in operation in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the Global CCS Institute has appointed its first Head of the MENA region. Dr. Mohammed Abu Zahra - who has an extensive academic and business background in CCS - will be leading the Institute's MENA efforts from January 2022 onward.
