Institute Commentary: As COP 26 Ends, is the Glass Half Full?

Climate stakeholders from around the world gathered in Glasgow, Scotland to move the needle forward on climate action at COP 26. CCS was the topic of discussion at a number of well-attended side events, as experts in the field weighed in on the need to accelerate deployment. Webinar: CCS In Dutch Waters

In a recently held webinar, the Institute unpacked the current state of CCS in the Netherlands. Discussions at the virtual event highlighted how CCS can support the Netherlands in meeting its 49% emissions reduction target by 2030, and the EU's even more ambitious 55% emissions reduction target by 2030. Sharing their insights were policy and industry experts, along with academics, including representatives with Bellona, TNO, Carbon Connect Delta, and Utrecht University. In an Institute first, the event was conducted entirely in Dutch.
