New Report: An ESG Reporting Methodology to Support CCS-Related Investment

The ESG reporting landscape is dynamic and there are unique opportunities for both project proponents and investors to leverage ESG frameworks to support the scale-up of CCS. In our latest thought leadership report, we assess potential pathways for the reporting of CCS activities within current ESG schemes and reporting regimes.

Webinar: A New Approach to ESG and Reporting

Along with the release of the Institute's latest publication on ESG reporting methodology, authors of the report held a live discussion on the future of ESG as it relates to CCS during an interactive webinar. The event was hosted in conjunction with the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) and the King Abdullah Petroleum Research and Studies Centre (KAPSARC).

Hybrid Event: 10th Annual D.C. Forum

On 16 June, the Institute held its 10th Annual D.C. Forum in Washington D.C. Together with several experts in the field, we discussed the rise of CCS and assessed the key factors enabling the scale-up of CCS.  We were honored to welcome Secretary Jennifer M. Granholm from the U.S. Department of Energy as one of our distinguished keynote speakers. As part of her remarks, Secretary Granholm provided a high-level overview of the exciting developments in the U.S. climate and energy policy under the Biden Administration.

In Memory of John Scowcroft

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear colleague and friend John Scowcroft. John has been a valued member of our team since January 2012, when he first joined the Institute as General Manager. He keenly followed climate change discussions for years  notably attending almost every COP since its launch – and, over the last ten years, has significantly contributed to the Institute’s role in international climate frameworks.

John will be truly missed within the CCS and climate community and his enthusiasm, exceptional knowledge and profound dedication to the Institute’s work will always be remembered. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
